SQ4You is a personal monitor mixing app designed specifically for Allen & Heath SQ mixers. It allows users to have customized control over their own monitor mix on stage using a smartphone or tablet.
This app is not used for audio playback, but rather for remote control of a single mix. It connects to the SQ mixer via a wireless router, providing convenient and flexible control options for musicians and performers.
With SQ4You, users can choose any aux mix to control and assign which sources they want to control, including channels, FX returns, and groups. The app provides a clear view of channel numbers, names, and meters, allowing users to easily navigate and adjust their mix. Individual channel send levels and pan can be controlled, and up to four groups of channels can be assigned to level trim wheels for quick adjustments.
SQ4You also allows users to create a "Me" group, providing quick control over their own channels. Each group can be named for easy identification. The app provides control over the aux mix level and mute, as well as control over the aux mix PEQ, Graphic EQ, and Compressor. To prevent user error, the mix and/or processing can be locked.
To use SQ4You, you will need an Allen & Heath SQ mixing console with a wireless router connected to its Network port. The SQ mixer firmware and SQ4You app must share the same major release version, but maintenance version numbers do not need to be identical.
